One of Australia’s largest financial services companies, AMP, has recently made two significant announcements regarding SMSF strategy:
- Last week AMP announced a newly formed business unit, AMP SMSF, which will include the soon-to-be-acquired Cavendish Group and its former managing director, Andrew Hamilton, and,
- This week, AMP SMSF, has appointed Craig Jameson as Director, Business Operations effective immediately. Mr Jameson was previously Managing Director at ANZ owned SMSF specialist Super Concepts.
Jameson will be accountable for setting up AMP SMSF’s business operations, including creating and implementing its business architecture and overall strategy.
The senior leadership team of AMP SMSF will now include the previous managing directors of both Cavendish (the country’s largest SMSF administrator) and Super Concepts (Australia’s second largest third party administrator), both of whom will report to Paul Sainsbury, managing director of AMP SMSF.
