Aberdeen Asset Management’s recently-hired global head of distribution Campbell Fleming has made a series of hires to its global distribution team, including former Artemis head of UK retail Richard Pursglove and industry veteran John Campbell.
Pursglove, who joins Aberdeen today, has been hired on an interim, advisory basis to focus on the group’s wholesale distribution strategy at a UK and global level. He has had a two-year absence from the industry after leaving his role as head of UK retail at Artemis in September 2014.
Prior to that Pursglove held roles at a number of major fund groups, joining Goldman Sachs Asset Management in 2011 after working as Gartmore’s head of UK retail for three years as well as a seven-year spell at Cazenove Capital.
In addition, Aberdeen has hired John Campbell, who has been awarded an OBE for his work in financial services, as global head of strategic clients working between the firm’s London and Edinburgh offices.
In the US, Jeff Klepacki will also join early in the New Year as head of distribution – Americas, reporting to Bev Hendry, co-head of the Americas at Aberdeen and Fleming.
