Perpetual has appointed Dean Winterton as general manager distribution for its Perpetual Investments business.
Winterton will be responsible for driving inflows via a targeted sales and marketing strategy aimed at reducing redemptions and growing the business from its current base of $26 billion in funds under management.
He will lead the existing institutional sales, intermediary sales, retail sales, research and marketing teams.
Perpetual Investments’ group executive Michael Gordon said the appointment is “a significant step in the progression of our distribution strategy.”
Most recently Winterton was head of institutional sales at Eastspring Investments in Asia. He started his wealth sector career at Bankers Trust before moving to AMP Capital in Sydney and then into Asia.
He is expected to be up and running in his new role by mid-September and report to Gordon.
