Rob Page is the new head of marketing and communications at Hermes Fund Managers and will take up his position in September, having recently resigned his partnership at Ardevora.
Page has previously worked at Hill Samuel before senior roles with Barings, New Star and Ignis before joining Ardevora a year ago.
He will work closely with Harriet Steel, global head of business development, who joined as head of sales and marketing in November 2011.
Alongside Page, Steel has also recruited four business development directors to cover institutional and wholesale distribution.
- Clive Selman joins after a 12-year stint with Man Group selling long-only equities, hedge fund Ucits strategies and hedge fund of funds to UK and European wholesale businesses and will now drive Hermes’ UK wholesale business.
- James Lucas has joined from Henderson Global Investors where he was a director of institutional business. His new role will be to grow Hermes’ position in the same institutional market.
- In the US, Melissa Whitney, an alternative strategies specialist, swaps her role running sales and marketing at Marblegate Asset Management for a similar job with Hermes.
- Paul Voûte is the fifth recruit, from GE Asset Management, and will promote the investment strategies across the Benelux region and other Northern European markets.
